Shop downstairs in this beautiful and fun store, then relax upstairs in the coffee shop and bakery!
As soon as you step through the bright red door and into Aida’s you are treating yourself to a shopping experience unlike anywhere else in the city. This store is as charming as the woman who began it over 12 years ago.
Aida (pronounced I-ee-da) Sabha came to Wichita as a foreign exchange student from our sister city in Mexico. She was just a young girl with a sense of adventure and a basic grasp of the language. The original plan was to see America, learn the language, then travel Europe and the rest of the world. She only planned to live in Wichita for one year, but she fell in love with the city and has now called it home for over 25 years.
With a passion for beautiful jewelry and accessories, Aida was one of the first people to open a shop in Old Town. Starting with only 250 square feet, Aida worked hard and grew her store. That hard work paid off and she eventually moved into her present location, which features 4,000 square feet with a coffee shop and bakery. An amazing story of perseverance and success, you can still find Aida behind the counter downstairs, or pulling hot treats from the oven upstairs.
Aida's is a must see for anyone planning a trip to Old Town. Stop by today and experience the beauty and fun of this hidden jewel. During your visit, make sure you ask for Aida. In addition to great products, you are guaranteed to get some of the best and friendliest service in town.
