The Tallgrass Film Association presents the ninth annual summertime Cinema Alfresco season. Screenings, which are free of charge and open to the public, will take place 7:30 p.m. Thursdays from May 26 through July 28, at Rock Island Studios (338 N. Mead) in Oldtown Plaza. Films will show rain or shine. This season’s theme, “Get Twisted,” will focus Cinema Alfresco on films with twist endings, plot twists or films that are just plain twisted. Each film will be preceded by a Tallgrass Film Festival short film and at every screening, there will be drawing for a VIP TALLPass ($175) to the ninth annual Tallgrass Film Festival in October. Winners must be present to win. Under 21 welcome.
